The Temple School Ilupeju is one of those rare mid-market Lagos schools in its fifth decade of continuous operation — founded 1979, established across three generations of Ilupeju/Mushin/Ikeja families. That continuity is the school's core sale. Where the newer Ikeja alternatives (Wellington, Chrisland Opebi refresh) offer newer facilities, Temple offers 45 years of institutional memory, teaching-staff continuity (multiple department heads joined in the 1990s), and the kind of Old Templars parent network that transfers pupils between generations. The school runs a Nigerian curriculum with Cambridge IGCSE at senior secondary. Day-only. WAEC results are consistently strong (85-92% credit-pass in core subjects) with sciences and mathematics historically the top of the subject table. Christian-affiliated. Admission process
JS1 entry via school entrance examination held in March and August. Examination covers English, Mathematics, and Verbal Reasoning at end-of-primary level plus a short written composition. Application fee ₦20,000, non-refundable. Sibling and legacy priority (children and grandchildren of Old Templars) is significant — approximately 45% of any Year 7 intake is legacy families. Common Entrance results considered supplementarily. SS1 transfer entry available for pupils with strong JS3 results. Interview with the Principal for shortlisted candidates plus a legacy check for Old Templars families.

Four science laboratories, a 350-seat assembly hall used for community assemblies and end-of-year prize-giving, a small pool for PE, a full football pitch (partially floodlit), basketball courts, a library with 10,000+ volumes, computer laboratory, art studio, and music room.
