Wellington College Ikeja is one of the newer mid-market hybrid schools in the Ikeja Anthony/Maryland corridor — founded 2003, established but not old. The school targets families for whom the Chrisland/Grange fee tier is a stretch but who want more than the affordable-tier options can offer in curriculum and facilities. What distinguishes Wellington is the Ikeja mid-town location — closer to the Anthony/Maryland/Palmgrove residential belt than the Ikeja GRA schools while charging noticeably less than the Chrisland Opebi flagship. Roll of ~600 across primary and secondary keeps class sizes at 22-26 — small enough for individualised attention, large enough to support broad extracurricular programming. Wellington College was founded 2003 as one of the newer mid-market hybrid schools in the Ikeja Anthony/Maryland corridor. The founders had taught at older Ikeja schools and set up Wellington specifically to serve the mid-market gap: families for whom Chrisland Ikeja or Grange fees were a stretch but who wanted more than the affordable-tier options could offer in curriculum and facilities. Reception entry is via play-based assessment plus parent interview — no written paper below Year 1.

Facilities include a three-storey primary block, two-storey secondary block, three science laboratories (physics, chemistry, and biology in dedicated rooms), a 300-seat assembly hall, a small 15m swimming pool used primarily for PE lessons, sports courts (basketball, volleyball), a 6,000-volume library, a computer laboratory, and a music room. Power on grid + 100KVA generator + inverter backup for lighting. Water from LSWC pipe with onsite borehole backup. School buses run from Anthony, Maryland, Palmgrove, and Ikeja town.
