Magodo to Ikeja is a short, comfortable mainland commute between one of Lagos's most sought-after gated estates and the state's business capital, roughly 8km via CMD Road, Ojodu-Berger and the Ikeja back routes. Off-peak it is a relaxed 20-30 minutes; the pinch points are the CMD Road exit and the Ojodu-Berger/Isheri junctions, which can add half an hour in the morning as estate residents and Berger through-traffic hit the same roads at once.
Because Magodo is a car-owning, estate-based community, most of this route is done by private car or ride-hailing rather than public transport — walk-up danfo is thinner inside the estate, so residents typically drive to the CMD or Berger corridors and go from there. The route rewards knowing the back roads. The direct CMD-to-Ikeja run is quick when the junctions are clear, but locals lean on the Ojodu and Omole cut-throughs to dodge the worst of the Berger crush at peak.
