About this school — Chrisland High School Opebi

The original Chrisland site on Opebi Road in Ikeja is one of the longest-running private schools in Lagos. Founded 1976, it serves the Ikeja/GRA professional catchment with a hybrid curriculum and consistent WAEC results. Day-only. The Opebi campus is smaller and less new than the Lekki flagship but has stronger institutional continuity — teaching staff include multi-decade veterans and the Old Chrislander alumni network is anchored here.

Chrisland Opebi is the group's original campus and the site where the Chrisland brand was built. Founded 1976 on Opebi Road in Ikeja, the campus grew alongside the wider Ikeja residential expansion — from a small primary and JSS programme to a full JSS+SSS secondary with over 600 pupils on a compact 3-acre urban site. Multi-decade teaching staff continuity is a real feature: multiple heads of department have been at Opebi since the 1990s, and the school has a settled institutional culture that newer campuses cannot match. What Chrisland Opebi delivers that Chrisland Lekki does not is that historical continuity plus the Ikeja mid-town network of families across three generations. Alumni include senior professionals across Nigerian and diaspora communities.
