About this school — The Lagoon School
The Lagoon School is one of Lagos's few explicitly single-sex girls' schools and one of only two Island-based British-curriculum girls' secondary options (the other being Vivian Fowler on the Mainland). Founded 1994 in Lekki Phase 1, Lagoon has built a specific reputation on two things: STEM outcomes and structured leadership development. A 2.5-acre Lekki Phase 1 campus with 25 classrooms, three science labs (recently upgraded for STEM emphasis), a 200-seat hall, a small swimming pool used for PE, a multi-court for netball and basketball, and a 6,000-volume library. The school operates fully on solar + inverter — no on-site generator.
